Doctors at the world class hospital Emory University in Atlanta have broken the news to Bobbi Kristina Brown’s father, Bobby Brown, that there is nothing more they can do for her and there is little chance that she will ever recover, TMZ reports.
Furthermore, tmz.com reports, the doctors told the “My Prerogative” and “Don’t Be Cruel” singer it is time to withdraw life support — the only thing that is keeping Whitney Houston’s daughter alive. Bobbi Kristina has remaned in a medically-induced coma after her brain was deprived of oxygen for an estimated five to seven minutes under water in her home bathtub.
The decision on whether to pull the plug on Bobby Kristina’s life is now in the New Edition singer’s hands, the report states, but the sources close to the family told the entertainment blog that he wants to wait to make the painful and inevitable decision until after the weekend.
Perhaps it was a far too painful a decision for Bobby Brown to make on his own birthday, which is today.
Brown was hoping his daughter could defy the odds because someone in his extended family recovered from a coma after eight days.
Bobbi Kristina has been in a medically-induced coma since she was found face down in the bathtub, submerged in water, on Saturday morning.
As for Bobbi Kristina’s grandmother and Whitney Houston’s mother, Cissy, reports have it that she has yet to see her granddaughter, but is still making arrangements to get to Atlanta as soon as possible since the end seems inevitable.
