This Father’s Day marked the 20th anniversary for Real Men Cook. The annual community event, held simultaneously in cities around the nation, was staged Sunday in the U Building at Kennedy King College, 740 W. 63rd St. This year, as with years past, the crowd was treated to good eats by men–some fathers–who barbecued chicken, roasted corn and served up other delicacies. The event is not only a draw for foodies but for state and local community leaders. The state’s department of health was one of this year’s sponsors of Real Men Cook, put on by Real Men Cook Inc., which was started by former husband-and-wife team Kofi and Yvette Moyo. For the price of admissions, attendees enjoyed all-you-can eat fare, as well as informative talks and information and entertainment.
