Bill Cosby may be getting slammed with rape accusations, but don’t put Raven Symone in with all the drama.
The former “The Cosby Show” star blasted a gossip website for spreading a rumor that Cosby molested her during her stint on the classic series. Media sources report that Hip Hop Hangover, a parody news site, posted the rumor on Wednesday, saying that Symone had filed charges against Cosby that included accusations of him molesting her.
“I was NOT taking advantage of by Mr. Cosby when I was on the Cosby Show!” Symone wrote on her Instagram account Wednesday. “I was practically a baby on that show and this is truly a disgusting rumor that I want no part of! Everyone on that show treated me with nothing but kindness. Now keep me out of this!”
“Keep me outta this!” she later tweeted.
Symone’s response is the latest development since sexual allegations recently resurfaced against Cosby. In addition to Netflix and Comedy Central deciding against air upcoming Cosby specials, TV Land has opted to eliminate all traces of “The Cosby Show” on its website.
According to TMZ.com, visitors to the TV Land website are taken to an error page when clicking on any “Cosby” links found on the site. On Wednesday, the network deactivated all the links, which allowed users to watch video clips of “The Cosby Show” as well as get the scoop on air dates.
Whether TV Land will continue airing “Cosby Show” reruns is up in the air. The network responded with “no comment” when TMZ inquired about the status of the show on the network.
