Rapper G Herbo Sentenced to Three Years Probation

Rapper G Herbo, also known as Herbert Wright III, was sentenced to three years probation following his guilty plea in a federal court in Springfield, Massachusetts.

The 28-year-old artist admitted his involvement in a scheme that utilized stolen credit card information, which went to fund a lavish lifestyle.

In a deal reached with prosecutors last year, G Herbo pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and making false statements. As part of the agreement, prosecutors dismissed multiple counts of aggravated identity theft.

In addition to the probation, he has been directed to pay restitution and forfeiture of $139,968 each, as well as a $5,500 fine. These financial penalties are in addition to the $140,000 he had previously agreed to forfeit.
