Rainbow PUSH Coalition Honors Fred Hampton and World AIDS Day with a Month of Service and Advocacy

The Rainbow PUSH Coalition is bringing together community action and remembrance this December with a series of events that honor the legacy of civil rights leader Fred Hampton while addressing critical issues like food insecurity and public health. The initiatives culminate in a special gathering on Saturday, December 7, at the organization’s national headquarters in Chicago.

A Commitment to Justice and Community Support

Every Saturday, the Coalition hosts a weekly food giveaway at Operation Rainbow PUSH, a program designed to alleviate hunger and support families in need. This enduring effort is inspired by Fred Hampton’s legacy of justice and community care, reinforcing the Coalition’s mission to provide economic and social support to underserved communities.

Rev. Jesse Jackson, founder of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, said, “A man must be willing to die for justice. Death is inevitable, but good deeds live on forever. As we remember Fred Hampton’s legacy, we renew our commitment to economic justice, ensuring every family has food and hope for a brighter future.”

December 7th Forum: A Day of Action and Inspiration

The December 7th forum promises to be a meaningful day of reflection and empowerment. Anchored by a robust lineup of speakers and services, the event blends dialogue, community resources, and direct support for attendees. Breakfast begins at 9 a.m., followed by the main forum at 10 a.m.
