A man from Chicago’s West Side has been charged with masterminding the murder of his hairdresser mother to get money from her bank accounts and life insurance policies, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Qawmane Wilson, 24, and two accomplices were charged this week with the alleged murder of Yolanda Holmes in early September. The deceased Uptown salon owner had more than $90,000 in her bank account, which Wilson withdrew a week after her stabbing and shooting death on Sept. 2, according to CBS Chicago.
Wilson, who has his mother’s name tattooed on his shoulder, according to the Chicago Sun Times, allegedly admitted to police that he had his mother knifed and gunned down for “financial gain.”
