PUSH for Excellence has announced plans for its 35th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration, set to honor the civil rights leader’s enduring legacy. The two-day event begins with a Day of Service and Learning on Saturday, January 18, offering educational seminars, engaging speakers, and community service projects for all ages.
On Monday, January 20, PUSH Excel will host its annual MLK Breakfast, celebrating Dr. King’s work and the contributions of Reverend Jesse Jackson Sr. This year’s theme, “The Journey of Hope and Healing: Advancing the Dream,” reflects a call for unity and progress during challenging times.
“In a time of division and distrust, Dr. King’s teachings show us the way toward rebuilding and striving for a better future,” said Reverend Jackson. “We invite community members, civic leaders, and businesses to join us on this journey of hope and healing.”
The Day of Service is free and family-friendly, featuring a resource fair and activities for all ages.
These events honor Dr. King’s vision and offer a space to reflect, learn, and work toward the dream he championed.
