President Obama surprised a group of students who were at the Chicago offices of the Obama Foundation for a meeting of the Obama Youth Jobs Corps, a year-long workforce readiness training and internship program for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors on Chicago’s South Side.
President Obama listened to the students discuss their experiences with the internship program and spoke about the importance of job training programs to create opportunities for young people on the South Side.
