Updated: May 28, 6:38 a.m. CST:President Barack Obama is slated to return to home to Chicago on Wednesday to attend to Democratic fundraisers.
His first appearance is at the Chicago Hilton, at 720 S. Michigan Ave., for a dinner reception. He’s scheduled to speak at about 6:20 p.m.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chair Rep. Steve Israel and various members of the Illinois Congressional delegation are expected to attend.
The second event is at the private residence of BettyLu and Paul Saltzman.
The president will remain in Chicago overnight before flying back to the White House around midday Thursday.
