President Obama Takes A walk in Central Park

Most presidents of the United States settle and follow the rules so when their Secret Service protectors deem a request too dangerous a president accepts. Two years ago President Obama expressed an interest in the desire to walk amongst the people as a one of them if just for one moment. At the time, the Secret Service didn’t approve it.
But New Yorkers got a huge a surprise when they spotted President Obama out for a Saturday summer stroll in Central Park. Yes the President with his daughter Sasha and her friends walked a stroll pace taking in the sights, sounds and scents of Central Park over light conversation quite different from his usual day to day dialog of political implications and concerns.
Obama was in Manhattan for a Democratic National Committee fundraiser on Friday. P The President Obama brought his daughters and a few of their friends along for a whirlwind weekend that included a Broadway matinee and a late-night tour of the new Whitney Museum of American Art. What a normal weekend for families of privilege and yet what most take for granted is not available to the country’s First Family.
And yet before heading back to D.C. on Saturday, the president managed to get in one last activity, fulfilling an expressed desire he’s had for years since becoming President.
“The thing that you miss most when you’re president — extraordinary privilege, and really nice plane and all kinds of stuff — but suddenly, not only have you lost your anonymity, but your capacity to just wander around and go into a bookstore, or go to a coffee shop or walk through Central Park,” Obama said at a New York City fundraiser in 2012. “I just desperately want to take a walk through Central Park again, and just remember what that feels like.”
Once again President Obama’s patience paid off. He enjoyed a stroll in the park with his daughters , their friends, and his entourage of egret Service, motorcade and all. His ability to manifest what he wants comes to no surprise to this who recognize his ability to zero in on his vision and like a missile zooms in, latches on and boom the mission is achieved.
