Police have no motive in restaurant slaying

CHICAGO (AP) _ Chicago police say they haven’t determined the motive for a shooting that took place in a McDonald’s restaurant parking lot.

Police say the shooting late Monday left one man dead and three others wounded, including one of the alleged offenders.

According to police, a man entered a van that was in the South Side restaurant parking lot and opened fire inside the vehicle. A 28-year-old man was killed.

A 25-year-old man was wounded in the chest and back and was in serious condition Tuesday at Stroger Hospital. The third victim, 23, was shot in the head and was in critical condition.

Police say the gunman who entered the van was shot in the leg during the incident. He fled to a waiting sport-utility vehicle. The SUV sped off but crashed, and both men were arrested. (AP)
