Hundreds of artists have graced the city’s gospel fest stages, including The Winans, Yolanda Adams, CeceWinans, The Clark Sisters, the Rev. Al Green, Pastor Shirley Caesar, Rance Allen, Darius Brooks and the Canton Spirituals. Morris also tapped talented local groups like Alfred Wheeler and Blessed, The Brown Sisters, The Douglas Singers as well as Deacon Reuben Burton and the Victory Travelers.

“I have probably booked a little over a couple of thousand (artists),” Morris explained. The gospel music guru has also seen audiences amass well into the millions during her 20-year tenure.

Gospel music lover and fans gather each year during the first week of June for a gospel experience unlike any other.
