This powerful principle is the cornerstone of PALS Town, an innovative program dedicated to harnessing the power of writing and imagination to help children build a robust foundation of literacy skills.

With evidence showing that children can learn to read and write much earlier than traditionally believed, PALS Town employs a joy-infused pedagogy to deliver skills-driven programs that promote early literacy for every child.

The Dewey Approach: A Village for Every Child

Founded in 2020, Dewey takes a holistic approach to education, focusing on the powerful intersections of home, school, and the broader community. Recognizing that it takes a village to raise a child, Dewey’s mission is to make it easier for parents and teachers to help children learn and grow. Dewey offers a wide range of products and tools available in English and Spanish, with additional languages in development. Since its inception, Dewey has positively influenced the lives of 100,000 children, providing essential resources to parents, caregivers, and educators.

Pam Allyn, the visionary founder of Dewey, has recently started a blog on Medium where she shares her expertise and insights directly with parents. As a literacy expert, mother, and grandmother, Pam offers valuable advice to help families navigate the complexities of early childhood education. Her blog can be found by searching “Medium, Pam Allyn” or by visiting medium.com/@pam_90412.
