Stars from film, television, and the music industry walked the red carpet Sunday at the 81st Academy Awards. Much of the award show’s production was kept under wraps until that night. Beyonce performed with show host, Hugh Jackman, in a Broadway-style show tunes act, and singer Alicia Keys, actor Will Smith, and actor/comedian Eddie Murphy were among the night’s presenters. John Legend and Queen Latifah performed as well. Actresses Taraji P. Henson and Viola Davis learned early in the show that they would be passed over for the best supporting actress award. Henson was nominated for her role in the movie, "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," and Davis played in the blockbuster film, "Doubt."
