Officials are set to unveil a plaza honoring those in the armed services at one of the nation’s busiest airports.

CHICAGO (AP) — Officials are set to unveil a plaza honoring those in the armed services at one of the nation’s busiest airports.

The newly constructed plaza at O’Hare International Airport is located in the center media of Interstate 190 between the inbound and outbound lanes.

It’s an oval plaza with nine flags, including the American flag and others representing the branches of the military.

Chicago Department of Aviation spokeswoman Karen Pride says the idea is to honor those who have served.

A dedication ceremony is planned for Tuesday morning.

Several Chicago alderman are expected to attend, along with service members.
