In the fall of 2016, Nicole C. Bullock was diagnosed with Diffuse Large B-Cell Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. During her battle, she received several blood and platelet transfusions that helped save her life. As a result of her journey, Nicole founded the Nicole Cares Foundation, Inc., to raise awareness about the disease, assist others during their battle, and to let them know they were not alone. Like most people, Nicole had no idea that many cancer patients require blood transfusions while undergoing treatment. On Friday, October 8th, 2021, The Nicole Cares Foundation and Faith Movers Church will host their second annual blood drive at Faith Movers Church, 425 Exchange Street in University Park, IL from 3pm-7pm.
Due to the pandemic, blood banks are in dire need of blood donations and we encourage everyone to participate in this event.  It’s safe, it’s simple, and it saves lives! Donors must be 18 years old, in general good health, and wear a face mask inside the building. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call 800-7-TO-GIVE or visit https://bit.ly/NICOLECARES. A photo ID is required and social distancing will be observed.
