Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction. That is, if the following story is indeed true.
Los Angeles Lakers point guard D’Angelo Russell has just endured a social media and public dragging of epic proportions for secretly recording and “snitching” on teammate Nick Young’s cheating ways on his fiancee Iggy Azalea.
However, Russell was adamant in a press conference on Wednesday that he did not leak the tape and has no idea who could have spread the toxic information throughout cyperspace and, thus, poison Young’s and Azalea’s relationship. But, according to one source, we now know who may be the culprit.
Nicki Minaj.
Houston ESPN 97.5 reported, during an interview with a staffer from Fameolous, says someone from Minaj’s camp found the nuclear-hot tape and sent it to Minaj, who thus spilled the poison onto the Internet for all to see.
The Fameolous staffer, who remained anonymous, reiterated that Minaj and Azalea are archenemies in the rap gam and that Minaj was irate that Iggy Azalea threw shade at Minaj while appearing on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” last week, saying that Nicki Minaj is not the only person who writes her own raps.
When someone from Minaj’s camp found the explosive video, according to Fameolous, they fast-tracked it to Minaj and she decided to blow up the video, which was actually posted via Russel’s SnapChat the very next day.
Famelous claims that, even though Russell had posted this on his Snapchat, no one was paying attention to it and that Minaj’s camp discovered it and used it to humiliate Azalea and further deteriorate her brand.
So perhaps Russell, who is guilty in the first degree of breaking the man code for snitching, did not leak the tape of Nick Young’s confession after all.
Stranger things have happened, though the explanation seems far-fetched.
