CHICAGO Federal officials hope a new screening system at Midway International Airport will make it easier for travelers to pass through security checkpoints.
The program began this week and allows passengers to choose their security lane based on their travel experience.
Passengers can choose between expert lanes for the business traveler, casual lanes for those who travel less frequently and family lanes for those who need special assistance.
Authorities say they hope the new system reduces frustration at the checkpoints and makes the process more efficient.
Their goal is to have travelers processed through security within ten minutes.
The program’s already been rolled out in about a dozen airports. (AP)
