A Chicago woman faces new charges in the 2007 shooting death of the pregnant girlfriend of former Chicago Bears All-Pro safety Shaun Gayle. A Lake County grand jury on Wednesday indicted 41-year-old Marni Yang on nine counts of first-degree murder and three counts of intentional homicide of an unborn child. Yang had been charged earlier this month with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of 42-year-old Rhoni Reuter and her unborn child. Prosecutors say the new charges will allow them to present nuances of the crime at trial. Authorities say Yang shot Reuter seven times at her apartment in the Chicago suburb of Deerfield because she was jealous of the woman’s relationship with Gayle. Yang is being held without bond.
