NEW CHICAGOLAND RADIO STATION 106.9FM PULSE PROMISES TO BE THE PEOPLE’S STATION DELIVERING A ONE STOP SHOP FOR ALL GENRES OFMUSIC AND ENTERTAINMENT CONTENT IN A WAY THAT’S FRESH AND SAUCY

Chicago has long been known for its radio stations and talent.

On Friday, Sept. 13, history will be made with the kick-off of 106.9FM The Pulse Chicago, a new, fresh, and edgy take on traditional radio. This station promises to deliver musical content that its audience, “the People”, want to hear. Everything from Gospel to R&B, to Rock & Roll, Country and more…will be played on the same station, catering to the varying tastes of residents in Chicago and its suburbs which is something that has never been done before.

The parent company of 106.9FM, WBOU Communications, began its radio station April 1991 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with Mr. Lyle Shumpert (station owner) and his first engineer, Mr. Sonny Robertson. Before there was podcast and syndication, Mr. Shumpert and Mr. Robertson started the remote radio system in the City of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. With three other stations currently under the WBOU umbrella, including 101.5 FM the Pulse of Milwaukee; and with a steadily growing fan base of listeners, the excitement is building with this Chicago expansion.

Both 101.5 FM and 106.9 FM are syndicated, BMI/ASCAP affiliated and fully FCC licensed and regulated. This station appeals to your musical taste buds; plays all genre of music with the focus on independent/underground. Each radio personality will bring their swag and untainted energy, which brings abold “flavor” making it SAUCY!

The 106.9FM station kick off will be held at its new headquarters in the historic Chicago-Bronzeville Community at 4655 South King Drive. Special guests and leaders within Chicago’s music, entertainment, civic, business, and faith communities are scheduled to appear.
