CHICAGO (AP) — The Museum of Science and Industry is once again offering free passes to Chicago Public Schools students who attend the first day of classes.

This is the fifth year the South Side museum is offering free family passes to every kindergarten through 12th grade CPS student in school on Tuesday.

Each pass is good for up to three adults, senior or child general admission tickets to the museum.

The passes are good from Tuesday to the end of the school year on June 15, 2012.

Last year, about 380,000 passes were distributed.

The museum is one of the largest science museums in the world, with nearly 14 acres of exhibits.
