“CIRQUE SHANGHAI EXTREME” rushes into Chicago’s Navy Pier with a new, awe inspiring show that continues through September 5 (Labor Day) rain or shine. The theatrics take place on the Navy Pier Pepsi Skyline Stage, the 1,500-seat, canopied, open-air theater at Navy Pier, 600 E. Grand Ave. The new spectacle for all ages features tumbling, juggling, balancing and more. Kids tickets age 3 to 12 are $15; Adult tickets are $32.50.

WEST INDIAN FOLK DANCE COMPANY TO HOST 1st Annual Caribbean American Heritage Month Monday at 6 p.m. at Best Western Hillside Hotel, 4400 Frontage Road in west suburban Hillside. Tickets are $60 per single; $100 per couple. With the theme “Caribbean Women in Dance,” dance styles are from St. Lucia, Puerto Rico and Brazil, and include a Caribbean drum circle.
