Master Sergeant Duane Wadlington began his career in business management and soon transitioned to non-profit organizations. Duane served at two local organizations where he assisted small businesses in underserved communities and counseled new homebuyers. Turning his attention and talents to government service, Duane joined The Illinois State Police and quickly rose through the ranks distinguishing himself amongst his peers as a leader. He is often sought out by his colleagues for guidance in the enforcement of state laws and policy questions. In November of 2021 he was promoted to Sergeant and in 2023 he was promoted to Master Sergeant.

M/Sgt. Wadlington is a certified ISP Range Officer, Radar/Lidar Instructor, Traffic Incident Management Trainer, Field Training Officer and Instructor Development School certified.

M/Sgt. Wadlington served on the board of directors of ABLE, is a member of NOBLE, Toastmasters International and Tuscan Lodge #44 Free and Accepted Masons. He’s also a federally licensed aircraft mechanic.

M/Sgt. Wadlington holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation Management and a Master of Science Degree in Workforce Education and Development from Southern Illinois University.
