A woman loading her child into her car was hit by an SUV and left in critical condition Thursday night, according to police.
The driver kept driving east on 87th Street after hitting her and police are looking for a white truck with passenger side damage and possible paint transfer from the woman’s black car, police said.
She was hit in the 3200 block of East 87th Street about 6:35 p.m. in the South Chicago neighborhood.
The woman, either 28 or 29, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center.
The police department’s Major Accidents Investigations Unit, which handles fatal and near-fatal car crashes, is investigating.
