WASHINGTON PARK, Ill. — Authorities in the southwestern Illinois town of Washington Park are investigating the shooting death of a 15-year-old boy whose mother claims he died as part of an argument over shoes. Leonard Hollis’ body was found early Wednesday inside a home. The St. Clair County coroner’s office says he had been shot in the back. Tina Tolliver says she believes her slain son was set up in retaliation for an argument over tennis shoes that a friend apparently took from him.
