Asya Branch Miss USA Chicago Defender

Asya Branch made history as the first Black woman to represent Mississippi as Miss USA.

She made history again on November 9, 2020, as the first black woman to represent Mississippi as the New Miss USA.  She will now represent the United States in the Miss Universe pageant.  According to Glamour Magazine, the 22-year-old college graduate is passionate about second amendment rights and prison reform.  Her father was incarcerated for kidnapping and armed robbery.  He served 12 years in jail. To help other children of incarcerated parents, she founded and launched, Finding Your Way Empowering Children of Incarcerated Parents.

Asya Branch plans to relocate to New York City to begin preparation for the Miss Universe Pageant.
