Speaking of “Whys,” Prince’s stellar track record in government relations and community advocacy is why he has been named a 2024 Men of Excellence honoree. He and an entire class of deserving Black men will be recognized at the Chicago Defender’s 17th Annual Men of Excellence ceremony on June 14 at the Tinley Park Convention Center.
Before joining the Small Business Advocacy Council, Prince built a reputation for creating positive public relations and establishing strong working relationships with clients and government officials. His expertise has been honed through roles in various companies and his work on the teams of notable political figures, including Commissioner Larry R. Rogers Jr. and Congresswoman Lauren Underwood.
When asked about a guiding principle or belief that has contributed to his success, Prince cites his work ethic and the guidance provided by mentors.
“Representation matters,” he said. “You can’t be what you can’t see. I believe anything can be achieved through hard work and discipline. I also surrounded myself with great mentors who groomed and taught me to manage and win political campaigns and how to get legislation passed.”
Prince’s rigorous dedication to those principles is why his story exemplifies dedication, leadership, and a relentless pursuit of progress. His story inspires others to strive for representation and success through hard work, mentorship, and an unwavering commitment to making a difference.
