Mayor Ford served as Alderman for 9 years before becoming the first Black Mayor of CCHILLS. Now serving his third term. Mayor Ford is the founder and director of the Country Club Hills PTW Mentoring Program for 18 years serving over 800 youth within the Community and the Southland area.
Mayor Ford is happily married to Jacqueline R. Ford for 18 years. Mayor Ford is a member of the Chicago Assembly Social Club, Illinois Municipal League, South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association and now serving on the Executive Board of SSMMA, and a member of African American Mayors Association, Inc, Washington DC, he also serves as the Secretary of the “SRMBC” Southland Regional Mayoral Black Caucus. National League of Cities, Washington DC and Rich Township Democratic Committee.
Mayor Ford served two years of active duty in the United States Army. He worked for IBM Corporation while enrolled at Governor State University majoring in Business Administration and was awarded the Master’s Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University School of Business and Public Management. At the same time, he joined the United States Army Reserve systems serving 25 years and retired in 2005 at the Rank (E9) Command Sergeant Major.
