Larry Washington and Ashley Williams, seniors at Manley Career Academy High School, were each recently awarded renewable $5,000 college scholarships from the Protiviti firm through its CommUnity Scholarship Program. Both were selected based on GPA, community involvement and school activities. Washington, who’s on the football team at the school, works at Rush University Medical and plans to major in engineering at the University of Illinois. Williams works part-time and is involved in several extracurricular activities. She hasn’t decided which college to attend, but plans to major in architecture.
