A 29-year-old St. Louis man will be sentenced next month after pleading guilty to second-degree murder for killing an Illinois man at a hotel near Lambert Airport. Rasheed Muhammad pleaded guilty Wednesday in the July 2007 shooting death of Djuan Rives of East St. Louis. Police arrested Muhammad after Rives was found shot at the Econo Lodge. Investigators were called to the hotel following the conclusion of a hip-hop concert sponsored by a radio station. Police say the victim was among a large crowd of concertgoers who were leaving the hotel when shots rang out. AP ______ Copyright 2008 Associated Press. All rights reserved.
