WASHINGTON PARK, Ill. — A southwestern Illinois man is jailed on $500,000 bond after being accused of gunning down a man outside a Washington Park apartment complex.

St. Clair County prosecutors have charged 20-year-old Truvon Flagg of Fairview Heights with first-degree murder.

Authorities allege he shot 20-year-old Michael Richardson Jr. last week while the victim stood in the apartment complex’s courtyard. Richardson later died at a hospital.

Flagg is jailed in Belleville and couldn’t be reached for comment. He doesn’t have a listed telephone number, and it isn’t immediately clear if he has an attorney.
