Malcolm-Jamal Warner: They condemn Bill Cosby, but love Woody Allen, Roman Polanski

“Cosby Show” alumnus Malcolm Jamal Warner brought up a great point when he made a rare TV talk show appearance and the topic of his legendary-turned-vilified TV dad was broached among the panelist — and how he is treated vastly differently from other so-called pedophiles and sexual deviants.
During an appearance on “The Real,” Warner was asked about ‘Cosby Show’ reruns getting yanked off TV, costing him money. Warner, an actor and musician, retorted “I can’t help but think about Woody Allen, Roman Polanski, Steven Collins.”
Warner undoubtedly believes an insidious double standard is being applied in Hollywood, who still celebrates those men despite their alleged crimes against children. The inference is obvious: even though Warner never fully plays the race card, everyone knows what he means by the double standard and why Cosby is being singled out for particularly harsh condemnation  … for some reason.
The full interview on “The Real” is scheduled to air on Monday.
