Halsted St., in an effort “to keep our children safe,” will host “Hallelujah Night” on Monday, Oct. 31, Halloween, from 5-8 p.m. On the agenda for the evening: fun, food and games for youngsters of all ages, says the Rev. Congrats to All Nations Choir that’s heading to Hollywood, Calif. for the final music competition, “How Sweet the Sound,” at the Staples Center on Friday. The national gospel choir competition is sponsored by Verizon. All Nations, Chicago’s largest multicultural gospel choir won three of four awards in September at the United Center at the regional competition.
Securing the Best Large Choir, the Peoples’ Choice and the Regional awards has now secured the choir a position at the national competition and will now be representing the Midwest Region and their hometown, Chicago. The choir departs from Midway airport on Thursday. And if it wins in Los Angeles will be invited to perform at the Superbowl in Indianapolis.
