Letina (Tina) Brady Pettis, a Chicago south side native, is deeply influenced by her family’s commitment to community leadership and voting rights advocacy. After a successful career in higher education, Tina shifted to active community engagement, founding the Get Out The Vote (GOTV) 4 TEENS Coalition. Focused on civic education and voter registration for 16-17-year-olds in Illinois, the coalition reflects Tina’s dedication to empowering the younger generation.

Tina is a Board Member of the League of Women Voters of Illinois and Chicago, Issues and Advocacy. She passionately supports women’s rights, fights against gun violence, and champions voting rights.

Tina’s impactful contributions have garnered recognition through awards such as the National Association of University Women North Central Section Woman of the Year and the Women Making History Award from the National Council of Negro Women. Honored with the President of the United States’ Volunteer Service Award, Tina’s academic background includes a bachelors degree from DePaul University, a masters degree in Legal Studies from Purdue University Global, and a Diversity and Inclusion certification from Cornell University.
