Leon Rogers Jr began his career as a stand-up comedian in the mid-1990s. Also known as “The Destined Legend,” Leon is a comedian who has toured the country and abroad. He has been featured on several popular comedy shows, including Showtime at the Apollo (4week winner), BET’s Comic View, Jamie Foxx’s Laffapalooza, and Cedric the Entertainer’s Starting Lineup.
Leon started radio in 2001 at Power 92. His sports fervor was heard on the airwaves during his two-year stint as co-host of the sports talk radio show, Sports Unplugged, with ESPN writer Scoop Jackson and college basketball analyst Steve Bardo. Leon joined I Heart Media and the WGCI brand where he has worked alongside radio greats such as Crazy Howard McGee, Elroy Smith and a fellow Chicago Man of Excellence recipient Tony Sculfield, and to this day is still making us laugh on morning radio where his light has shined for 19 years at WGCI!
A husband, father, son, comedian, DJ, and actor Leon wears many hats, and proudly displays his talents with a Chi Town flair!
