INDIANAPOLIS — Three African-American families have filed a civil rights lawsuit accusing children’s restaurant Chuck E. Cheese’s and a former Indianapolis store manager of mistreating them because they are Black. The lawsuit filed Monday in U.S. District Court alleges Ken McGill, who was a manager at two different stores, refused to serve them, treated them rudely or forced them to leave while allowing white families to stay. The suit claims Irving, Texas-based CEC Entertainment Inc., which runs the chain, failed to investigate McGill’s behavior as the families requested. The suit seeks damages of at least $500,000. The Associated Press left a message seeking comment with CEC’s guest relations office Wednesday.
