Lakeside Bank Celebrates Money Smart Week

In honor of the 15th annual Chicago Money Smart Week, designated April 23th – April 30th by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, Lakeside Bank is offering a host of FREE activities to everyone in the communities it serves.
On Saturday, April 23rd from 9-10 AM Lakeside will present, “Protecting Your Privacy & Security: Identity Theft in Today’s Society,” at True Rock Ministries, 57 E. 16th Street. Attendees will learn from experts what identity theft is, how you report it, how to get your identity back, and ways to prevent becoming a victim. On Monday, April 25th from 5:15 PM to 6:30 PM, Lakeside is partnering with the Chinese American Service League (CASL), 2141 S. Tan Court, to offer “How to Prepare for the Rising Cost of College.” Each year, the price of college tuition rises higher than the annual inflation rate. With these steep increases, how can college bound families afford to pay for college? Thomas J. Jaworski of Quest College Consulting will share his expertise to breakdown the cost of college, explain changes to the financial aid process and how to find scholarships. On Tuesday, April 26th from 11:30 AM to 1:00PM, Lakeside is offering, “How to Monetize Your Life Insurance While You are Still Alive” at its South Loop branch, 1350 S. Michigan Ave., 2nd Floor Conference Room. Geared for professionals, come learn how to provide an invaluable service to your clients by educating them about the true value of their life insurance. Finally, on Wednesday, April 27th from 9-10 AM, the students at Galileo Scholastic Academy of Math & Science, 820 S. Carpenter Street, will be treated to a presentation by the The Wealth Warriors, an elite group of the most dedicated speakers and aggressive investors in the Ujamaa Junior Investment Club (members are boys and girls ages 12-18), who will share with youth the importance of saving and investing at a young age.
