With over 30 years in the Chicago media industry, Kevin Cross continues to be an industry and civic leader in his role as President & General Manager of NBCUniversal Local Chicago and its three media properties: NBC 5 Chicago / WMAQ-TV, Telemundo Chicago / WSNS-TV and NBC Sports Chicago.

Appointed to his current role in June 2021, Cross leads the three local properties’ news, sports, digital, sales, finance, marketing, community and tech/ops departments, while maintaining relationships with all key stakeholders.

Prior to his current position, Cross held the title of Senior Vice President/General Manager for NBC Sports Chicago, overseeing the daily operations of the network which included its entire multiplatform content portfolio and enhanced fan-focused coverage of its team partners: the Chicago Blackhawks, Bulls and White Sox.

Cross is a multiple Chicago/Midwest Emmy Award winner. He was also named as a “Top Regionals Power Player” by Cablefax on multiple occasions and is consistently named as of one Crain’s Chicago Business’ “Who’s Who in Chicago Business.”

A native of Chicago’s south side, Cross earned his bachelor’s degree in television production from Chicago’s Columbia College. He resides in Chicago with his wife and three children.
