Kendal Griffin Wedding

R&B songstress Terisa Griffin and long time beau, patent attorney John Kendall were wed Thanksgiving weekend in a ceremony officiated by Congressman and Rev. Bobby Rush at his Beloved Community Church in Englewood. Her mentor and the man who discovered her over a decade ago, the Honorable Jerry Butler, escorted Griffin down the aisle.

Among the attendees were Rev. Jesse Jackson, Sr., Kim McCullough, Sam Balark, Craig Gilmore, Ralph Hughes, Hermene Hartman, Midge Kimberly, Wynona Redmond, George & Regina Daniels, Stella Foster, Larry Rogers, Sr. and Larry Rogers, Jr., LaRue Martin, Adrienne Jones, Michael House, Darryl Newell, Dr. Terry Mason, Sharron Troupe, Dedry Jones, Art Sims, Spencer Leak, Jr., Dr. Wayne Watson, Melody Spann and Pierre Cooper, Juanita Passmore, Tracy Williams (Wedding Director) and Tyronne Stoudemire.

The church was decorated with pink candles, roses and lace. The couple had 12 bridesmaids and groomsmen and multiple flower girls. A memorable moment came when the brides two dogs strutted down the aisle. Griffin’s musically gifted sisters entertained the guests with a number of inspirational songs, prompting guests to wonder if the bride herself was singing prior to her walk down the aisle.

The evening ended with a reception at the Hyatt Regency Chicago with dinner wine and

Champagne. The new bride wowed the guests with her inimitable song stylings. The couple plan to leave shortly for their honeymoon in Greece.
