Georgia native Joe Thomas, the son of two preachers, spent his childhood in the church singing, directing the choir and playing the guitar, planting the seeds for a career in music. After his high school graduation, he left the comforts of the south and headed to the east coast.

“I wanted to be in the atmosphere so I went to New York. Fortunately I got connected with producers who were working with Toni Braxton, Babyface and L.A. Reid. We got started on demos and one thing led to another,” Joe told the Defender.

The rest is history.

His debut CD, released 16 years ago, produced the smash hit he penned, "All the Things (Your Man Won’t Do)." Seven other CDs and a slew of hits followed, including "I Wanna Know," "What If A Woman" and "Thank God I Found You," a collaboration with Mariah Carey and 98 Degrees.

With his new release and being under a new label, Kedar Entertainment, the multiple Grammy Award-nominated singer/producer said he now has more autonomy over his music and went “back to the basics” to give the fans the music they expect and a little more.
