DALLAS — The Mavericks say they have reached a deal to keep free agent point guard Jason Kidd in Dallas. Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said Monday that Kidd has agreed to sign a three-year contract for more than $25 million. That could allow the 37-year-old Kidd to end his career with the same team he started with in the NBA in 1994. The deal, which can’t be signed until Wednesday, was first reported by ESPN.com. ______ In photo: FILE — This April 15, 2009 file photo shows Dallas Mavericks guard Jason Kidd bringing the ball down court during the second half of an NBA basketball game against the Houston Rockets in Dallas.
