Janet Jackson has been away from public life for over a year now.
But the singer stepped out in Dubai over the weekend looking like she hasn’t aged a day since the 1980’s.
She made a public appearance for the Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience at Dubai Mall, on Friday.
The pop legend has kept a really low profile in the past few years. Celebuzz reported that she was accompanied by her Qatari billionaire husband, Wissam Al Mana.

Jackson and Al Mana wed in a private ceremony in 2012. The couple confirmed their marriage to the press last year.
Jackson was photographed walking into the Vogue Fashion event surrounded by bodyguards. She wore a black, long-sleeved, high neckline ensemble, with her hair in a sleek, high ponytail.
A diamond necklace gave her some sparkle as did matching diamond stud earrings.
The superstar, who came to fame in the eighties with such hits as 1986’s Control and 1989’s Escapade, appears to have added a few pounds to her petite frame.
The 48-year-old’s makeup artist, Preston Meneses, shared a photo from the evening via Instagram.

Jackson has not made a public appearance since amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS Gala in May 2013, Us Weekly noted.
And it’s been more than six years since her last album ‘Discipline’.
