This fabulous exhibition the Invisible Man: Gordon Parks and Ralph Ellison in Harlem offers an unprecedented look at the collaborative work of these esteemed figures in American art between 1948 and 1952.
The opening event, hosted by the Leadership Advisory Committee of the Art Institute of Chicago, includes a performance by the Congo Square Theatre followed by a lively conversation among Natalie Moore, WBEZ reporter and author; LaToya Ruby Frazier, photographer and recent MacArthur Fellow; and Michal Raz-Russo, the exhibition’s curator.
