Four-month-old Samaya Hughes was found safe Monday morning, two days after she was taken from her West Side home. The infant is being treated at Mt. Sinai Hospital for observations, police said. The baby was taken from the 1500 block of North Massasoit Avenue around 10 a.m. on June 13 by 17-year-old Leann Ravens, who was living in the home with the family, said Chicago Police News Affairs officer Robert Perez. The family of Hughes identified Ravens as the abductor. The woman was living with the family but was not a relative, Perez said. Ravens is in police custody. Charges are pending. ______ Copyright 2009 Chicago Defender. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed.
