A 15 year-old Illinois boy has died a day after he was pulled from a pond in southeastern Wisconsin.
TREVOR, Wis. (AP) — A 15 year-old Illinois boy has died a day after he was pulled from a pond in southeastern Wisconsin.
The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department says Sunday the teen was from Harvey, Ill., and was part of a church group from the Chicago area. The boy’s name was not released.
WTMJ radio reports the group was visiting the Promised Land Paintball Park in Trevor on Saturday.
Kenosha County Sheriff Sgt. Bill Beth says people were swimming under a lifeguard’s supervision when the lifeguard noticed one person was missing. A search began and one group member stepped on someone under the water.
The boy was immediately pulled from the pond, CPR was started, and he was taken to a local hospital. But he later died.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
