Illinois State Rep. Lilly seeks ideas for new laws from local residents

CHICAGO – State Rep. Camille Y. Lilly, D-Chicago, is seeking ideas for new laws from local residents as part of her commitment to building a stronger Illinois.

“My chief priority in Springfield is to channel the voices and concerns of people in our community into legislative action,” Lilly said. “That’s why I am encouraging local residents to share their ideas for new laws.”

Residents with ideas for new laws can email Lilly’s constituent service office at StateRepCamilleYLilly@gmail.com or share them by calling 708-613-5939. Community members can also visit Lilly’s constituent service office at 6937 W. North Ave. in Oak Park. Lilly will review submissions and work to draft legislation based on constituent ideas and concerns.

“Community input is critical to democracy and vital to ensuring that government is properly serving citizens,” Lilly said. “I look forward to working with community members to positively address the challenges facing our state and building a stronger Illinois together.”
