DUQUOIN, Ill. — Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn plans unveiled a memorial exhibition to fallen soldiers. Quinn’s office says the governor attended the unveiling of the "Portrait of a Soldier" exhibition on Sunday afternoon at the DuQuoin (doo-KOYN’) State Fair. The exhibition included hand-drawn pictures of more than 220 Illinois soldiers who have died while serving since Sept. 11, 2001. Earlier this month, Quinn signed several new laws in Illinois meant to help relatives of soldiers killed during service. Quinn has said Illinois must do everything it can to make sure relatives receive their entitled benefits and services. ______ Copyright 2009 Associated Press. All rights reserved.
