CHICAGO (AP) — Jennifer Hudson was spotted at an Illinois theme park a day after jurors delivered a guilty verdict against the man charged with killing her mother, brother and nephew.

CHICAGO (AP) — Jennifer Hudson was spotted at an Illinois theme park a day after jurors delivered a guilty verdict against the man charged with killing her mother, brother and nephew.
The Chicago Sun-Times reports Hudson and her fiance rode the new X Flight roller coaster at Six Flags Great America. A park spokesman confirmed to the newspaper that Hudson was at the Gurnee park Saturday. A photo released by the park shows the couple on the ride.
The newspaper reports security guards escorted the couple so they could avoid crowds.
Hudson stayed away from news media during the trial.
In a statement with her sister Julia after the verdict, she thanked prosecutors and said she’s praying for William Balfour. He’s Hudson’s former brother-in-law and was convicted Friday.
