Rhythm & blues singers Jennifer Hudson and Jeremih and Pop music starlet Demi Lobo were among the recipients of the Chicago Music Awards.
The 30th annual awards show, held Sunday at the Excalibur nightclub, featured an array of talent across all genres.
Hudson snagged two awards: Pop Entertainer of the Year and R & B Entertainer of the Year; Lobo earned the Best Female Vocalist award; Jeremih was named Best Male Vocalist; Mavis Staples’ “You Are Not Alone” won Best Blues Album/CD; and Kanye West named Record Producer of the Year.
The show was co-hosted by actress Janet Hubert from the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” who also received special honors for contribution to the entertainment industry.

Comedian of the Year – Deon Cole

Most Talented Kid(s) (Under 12yrs) – Chi-Town Finest Breakers
Most Talented Teen(s) (13 yrs-19 yrs) – Jamiah “On Fire” Rogers
Most Outstanding House Music DJ – Gene Hunt
