Real Times Media Inc.’s Gary Gunter is taking on another role.
The sales and marketing veteran was recently named associate publisher of "Who’s Who In Black Chicago," put out by Who’s Who Publishing Company, the largest annual directory publisher targeting the African-American community.
Gunter is vice president of integrated marketing for Real Times Media, parent company for the Chicago Defender. His responsibilities at the Defender include managing the strategic growth and direction of multiple media platforms such as entertainment, print and digital. Additionally, Gunter began GEE Media Group, a marketing solutions firm, in 2005.
With nearly two decades of radio sales and marketing experience, Gunter has received many awards and accolades for his accomplishments and successes in the media industry. The Southern Illinois University at Carbondale alum was also awarded two fellowships from the National Association of Broadcasters.
